Kellhus Steps Into the Wider World

One of the most fascinating aspects of this section is watching Kellhus enter the political landscape of the Holy War.

His interactions with Proyas, Achamian, and the leaders of the Inrithi reveal just how quickly he begins understanding the people around him. Even so, this is still an earlier version of Kellhus, one who occasionally questions his own decisions and hasn’t yet become the seemingly unstoppable figure readers encounter later in the series.

Cnaiür Continues to Surprise

Cnaiür remains one of the most compelling characters in the novel.

Despite growing up within the isolated traditions of the Scylvendi, he repeatedly demonstrates an ability to adapt, analyze unfamiliar cultures, and challenge assumptions made by those around him.
