Each believes they understand the other. Each attempts to maintain control. And every conversation feels like a battle long before swords are ever drawn.

The Shadow of Moënghus

Even though Moënghus isn’t physically present, his influence dominates these chapters.

His manipulation of Cnaiür, his legacy among the Scylvendi, and the unanswered questions surrounding his motives become central topics in our discussion.

Every reread seems to reveal another layer to his plans.

The Mystery of Kellhus

This section also raises some of the biggest questions surrounding Kellhus himself.

Why do certain characters perceive him differently?

What are we meant to make of the strange halos surrounding him?
