The Dregs is the newest entry in the Vermin of the Old Empire series. Like the previous works (The Scroungers and The Pawn) it is a standalone. While there will be bits and pieces of crossover throughout the series, they can be read in any order.
This novella follows the fates of more of the survivors of the Battle of Torglen, as well as some of those that were not involved in the war.

Willuck–
A former butcher that marched with the Falbergian Second Militia to war in Torglen.
When the battle is over and the ash settles over the mud, he finds himself wounded and lost.
His home is far to the north, but he knows he will never make it.

Raspart–
A young farmer set to leave home as he learns the ways of sorcery.
He knows little of the world and what he will find, but hopes to make a name fighting for Volgsland.

Ilanya–
For years she has followed the orders of her lord, serving as a guard in the Tower of Aldar.
As chaos erupts in the Volgish capital, she begins to question her loyalty.
